Booster Welcome 2010The River Hill High School Booster Association welcomes you and your student to another great year ahead! Boosters is a non-profit organization that promotes participation, growth and sportsmanship in all extra-curricular areas, building the foundation for an enriching high school experience for every student. Because county funds for athletics and extracurriculars do not provide the fullness or flexibility for long-term planning and improvements, our parent and community members support the school by raising supplemental finances to continue the excellence at River Hill. Last year Boosters contributed over $30,000 directly to athletic programs, including sports teams, coaches’ development and tournament fees, and an additional $28,000 for school-wide improvements, academic requests, school spirit, homecoming, and scholarships. In addition to our annual Membership drive, Spiritwear (** mark your calendars, first sale day is 8/14 at Fall Sports Tryouts**), Concessions, Summer Sports Camps, Birthday Hawk rentals, Hawk Walk brick sales, and Spring Sports Physicals Night are our other means of providing financial support, so we hope we can count on you to get involved! This year we are planning to have an adult social event (dinner dance/auction). Our last event was held in 2009 and was a great opportunity to meet other parents as well as benefit the school. In order to continue to promote and support our student activities, Boosters need your support! Please complete the online form to become a member and sign up to volunteer.
